An introduction to WorkFlow

Modified on Thu, 6 Oct, 2022 at 6:11 PM

Welcome to WorkFlow. You are about to take the next step toward streamlining your Prep and Techscouts. Whether you work in Camera, Lighting, or Grip departments, or all three, WorkFlow is like having your own Best Boy or Camera Assistant, even if you are one.

WorkFlow helps you create content to share with your crew, production, and other departments. How? Create a project, capture images on the scout, create a gear-list, drop a few pins that ID gear placement or trucks, create a list of your crew for production, then send the link.

I sent the link, now what? While you were capturing and creating, WorkFlow was busy in the cloud creating the ultimate sharing web space, just for your project. Now production can see who is on your crew, the rental house can see your gear-list and is working on a quote, and locations can see where your truck is going.

Still with me? You can also create a schedule. For instance, ID prep dates at the rental house along with scout, prelight, or shooting days. It’s easy to add notes too, all optionally shareable with your viewers. Did the script or storyboards get email to you? You can store them in WorkFlow as well as links to reference sites or videos.

So, let’s get going already. We know, we are excited too. To help out, we have created a few sample projects for you to check out. And we highly advise it to see how to make WorkFlow your own. Next, we will kindly ask for some device permissions such as camera and location. And, feel free to contact us anytime.
